Classifying Fungi

More fungi reproduce by spores

Fungi reproduce by spores which are microscopic substances capable of growing into new fungi. Some fungi are capable of controlling the behaviour of insects to increase the chances of the spores reaching new insects to allow the fungi to reproduce more rapidly.

Mould growth

Mould are microscope fungi which appear as greyish green fuzz when they grow together. Since fungi cannot make their own food, mould obtain food from the objects they grow on! More mould also grows on objects when other mouldy objects are nearby as there is a greater amount of spores in the surroundings.

Understanding bacteria

Contrary to popular belief, not all bacteria are harmful to humans! Most bacteria are actually useful and help us to digest food.
