Cotton

Most fabric we wear as clothes are made of cotton. Observe how the fine hairs which help the plant to disperse its seeds are made into the soft, comfortable fabric we are familiar with!

Paper

The paper on which we write is made from trees! This is why saving and recycling paper is important as it means cutting down fewer trees!

Rubber

Rubber is made from the sap of the rubber tree, known as latex. Latex is collected in the process of rubber tapping. 

Silk

The fibers silkworms produce and rely on to protect their pupae can be harvested to produce silk! 

Wool

As you might already know, wool comes from the hair of sheep!

Leather

Leather is obtained from the skin of animals 

Metals

Metal ores are mined from deep underground.
