Classifying Plants

Flowering plants

Flowers are the reproductive parts of a plant! Not all flowers are brightly-coloured and sweet scented – some produce a foul scent to attract insects such as flies to help them in the process of pollination!

Non-flowering plants reproduce by spores

Non-flowering plants such as ferns reproduce by spores. The leaves of ferns are known as fronds. Spore bags containing spores can be found on the underside of fronds!
